2. What you need first

Before you start the conversation, have these on hand:

• A Google account — used once to sign in and approve the connection to your account.
• A few products with prices in DZD and photos hosted at public, reachable image links the assistant can fetch (each image needs short alt text — the AI can write it).
• Your store basics: a short store name, your wilaya (and the ones you deliver to), and a reachable phone number for confirmations and delivery.
• An assistant that supports custom MCP connectors — Claude (app or web) is the simplest, ChatGPT also works.

3. Connect your assistant once

Teno Store exposes a public MCP (Model Context Protocol) server — the standard that lets an assistant act inside the app. The endpoint is https://api.teno-store.com/mcp (transport: Streamable HTTP). There is no API key to add — you connect the assistant once and you are done.

The easy path: in the app, open /seller/storefront and click “Personnaliser avec une IA” (Customise with AI), or use the “Gérer avec une assistant IA” trigger in the seller dashboard. That opens a one-click connect picker that pre-fills the endpoint for your chosen assistant.

The manual path: in Claude (app or web), add a custom connector and paste the endpoint above — Claude offers a one-click “add custom connector”. In ChatGPT, go to Settings → Connectors → Add and paste the same endpoint. Browsing the catalogue is keyless; you only authorize the connection when you want it to act on your account.

4. Who owns the store — read this before you build

There are two identity modes, and the difference matters:

1. Default (no connection): the assistant creates its own shop, owned by the agent identity. It is independent of any web login and will not appear in your seller dashboard. The assistant returns the store link — keep it safe.
2. Connected to your account (recommended): tell the assistant “connect to my account”. It returns an approval link to /connect; you open it, sign in with Google, tick which shops to authorize and approve. The link expires after about 15 minutes. After that, the assistant drives the shops shown in your dashboard.

Connect to your account first, then build — that way the store is yours, shows up in your dashboard, and you can manage it by hand later too.

5. Tell it what to build

Now just talk. Here are real prompts you can type, one after another:

• “Connect to my account, then create a shop called « Atelier Nord », wilaya Oran, phone 0555 12 34 56.”
• “List these 20 products with their prices in DZD and the photos at these links — write a short description and alt text for each.”
• “Design my storefront with a clean editorial theme in teal, write a hero section, add my contact details, and show me a preview.”
• “Publish my storefront.”

Under the hood the assistant uses the store’s building blocks for you: it picks from the ready-made layouts (classic, minimal, editorial, tech, poster, artisan, luxe), then generates a draft in one step — choosing a template, a brand colour and your vertical, deriving a full palette and type scale, and assembling the page from your live products. It returns a preview first, so nothing goes live until you say so. When you approve, it publishes to teno-store.com/store/your-seller-id.

6. Free vs paid — the honest line

Here is exactly what is free and what is not, with no over-claiming:

• Free (“Gratuit”): 0 DZD, up to 20 products, the standard storefront (a clean default store page at /store/your-id), cash on delivery, 0% commission. The AI can fully create the shop, list your products and put the store live and shareable — at no cost.
• A fully custom-designed storefront — choosing a template like editorial, tech or luxe, custom colours and layout, extra custom pages — can be designed and previewed by the AI for free, on any plan. But publishing that custom storefront live requires a paid plan: Pro (up to 200 products plus a custom storefront and custom pages) or Premium (unlimited products, custom storefront and your own domain like votre-marque.com).

7. Review, publish, share

You stay in control throughout. Always preview first — the assistant shows you the draft before anything is public, and you can ask for changes (“make the hero shorter”, “use a warmer colour”) until it is right. When you publish, fresh listings pass through a content-safety check: a new first-party product is visible to you immediately and to buyers about two minutes later, once it clears — so a storefront that looks empty right after you add products is normal for a couple of minutes.

8. Keep running it by chatting

The conversation does not end at launch. You manage the live store the same way you built it — by asking:

• “Show me my recent orders.”
